The youngest of 14 children, Celine Dion began singing by the age of five. At the age of 12 she wrote her first song, "Ce N'etait Qu'un Rêve" ("It Was Only a Dream"), the song was sent to manager Rene Angelil. Dion’s audition for Rene Angelil brought him to tears. Rene Angelil used his own money to finance Dion’s first two albums. In 1983 Celine Dion became the first Canadian to have a gold record in France. 

Celine Dion recorded six albums between 1992 and 1996; the album “Falling Into You” was a huge hit, winning Grammys for Album of the Year and Best Pop Album.  In 1996 Celine performed at the opening ceremonies of the Summer Olympics in Atlanta. The next year, Dion went to the top of the pop charts with "My Heart Will Go On," the theme song for the hit film Titanic.

Husband, Rene Angelil was diagnosed with throat cancer in 1999; Celine took a three-year break from performing to support her husband during his treatment and eventual recovery. “The Collector's Series…Volume One” was released during Dion's hiatus; featuring her best-loved songs, as well as a Spanish-language version of "All By Myself".

Currently, Dion appears five nights a week at Caesers Palace in a custom made 4000-seat theatre that spotlights on Dion as the centerpiece of a multimedia program designed and orchestrated by Franco Dragone of “Cirque du Soleil” fame.
